Polar Night - Set of 6 Watercolors

Polar Night is a set of six handmade, mica watercolors inspired by the glowing, sparkling colors of winter. It's available in quarter pans and half pans.

Each Polar Night palette includes:
- Golden Hour, a pale yellow on light paper and a bright gold when layered on dark paint or paper
- Alpenglow, a golden-orange 
- Solstice, a rose/mauve gold
- Frost, an off-white/transparent beige on light paper and a bright blue when layered on top of darker paint/paper
- Nor'easter, a deep blue-purple
- Flurry, a silvery steel blue

Each pan comes with a magnet affixed to the bottom. Each set comes in a small, labeled, metal tin and includes a blank swatch card.

DETAILS
Ingredients: Micas, distilled water, gum arabic, vegetable glycerin, and clove leaf oil.

Lightfastness: All the pigments used to color the micas in this collection have excellent lightfastness ratings. I would not expect any fading, but I always recommend testing for lightfastness if you need to be certain of how a paint will perform.

Sizes: 
-Quarter pan (~1 mL, 0.74x0.59x0.2 in.)
-Half pan (~2 mL, 0.74x0.62x0.35 in.)

Notes: Small air bubbles are totally normal in handmade watercolors. I overfill my pans to offset this.

Mica paints are notoriously difficult to photograph, but I try to capture each color as accurately as possible. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.

INSTRUCTIONS
To use, put a couple of drops of water on top of dry paints and let the paints soften for 1-2 minutes. They should be ready to go!

Let your paints dry before you close the tin or put them away.

SAFETY
My mica paints are nontoxic when used as intended, as an artist paint. They are not formulated and have not been tested for any other purpose.

Watercolor pans are a choking hazard (and the colors/wrappers can make them look like candy), so keep them out of reach of young children and pets.
