Leaf Season is a watercolor palette of 6 handmade paints. These mica watercolors are inspired by the colors of fall foliage and named after trees that are native to Maine.

Leaf Season includes these 6 watercolors:
- Red Maple, a bright reddish pink
- Sassafras, an ultra-sparkly copper
- Quaking Aspen, a sparkly yellow gold
- White Pine, a forest green with shimmery gold
- Balsam Fir, a deep emerald green
- Bear Oak, a metallic chocolatey brown

Each pan has a magnet affixed to the bottom and the 6 colors come in a small metal tin. These watercolor sets also come with a blank swatch card that fits inside the lid. The outside of the tin has a label with the collection's name.

DETAILS
Ingredients: Micas, distilled water, gum arabic, vegetable glycerin, and clove leaf oil.

Lightfastness: All the pigments used to color the micas in this collection have excellent lightfastness ratings, except for one pigment used in Balsam Fir-- ferric ferrocyanide, or Prussian Blue. Prussian Blue fades when exposed to light as a watercolor paint, but how much and how fast it fades varies depending on many factors. I highly recommend performing a lightfastness test if you need to be certain how this, or any, paint will perform.

Sizes:
-Quarter pan (~1 mL, 0.74x0.59x0.2 in.)
-Half pan (~2 mL, 0.74x0.62x0.35 in.)

Notes: Small air bubbles are totally normal in handmade watercolors. I overfill my pans to offset this.

Mica paints are notoriously difficult to photograph, but I try to capture each color as accurately as possible. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.

INSTRUCTIONS
To use, put a couple of drops of water on top of dry paints and let the paints soften for 1-2 minutes. They should be ready to go!

Let your paints dry before you close the tin or put them away.

SAFETY
My mica paints are nontoxic when used as intended, as an artist paint. They are not formulated and have not been tested for any other purpose.

Watercolor pans are a choking hazard (and the colors/wrappers can make them look like candy), so keep them out of reach of young children and pets.
