These brush rolls were made by two woman-owned small businesses here in southern Maine. They were sewn by Sundew Sewing Co., then marbled by Tempered East. Each brush roll is one-of-a-kind, like artwork for your art supplies!

To use: Untie the ties, and unfold the brush roll so it lies flat, with the pockets facing up. Add your brushes and other tools to the pockets. Fold the top down 1-2 inches-- it's okay if it cover some brush bristles, as long as the bristles don't get folded, too. From right to left, roll up or fold the brush roll into thirds. Loosely double-knot the ties to keep everything together.

Details

Seacoast Marble (rolls A & B) has teal blue, navy, green, and gray swirls. It's inspired by the Atlantic Seacoast collection.

Aurora Marble (rolls C & D) has hot pink/red, light pink/purple, green, and blue swirls. It's inspired by the Aurora Lights collection.

All rolls have un-marbled, attached, canvas ties.

Each brush roll has two rows of 8 pockets, for a total of 16. The top row can accommodate longer handled brushes/tools, while the bottom row is better for shorter handled brushes/tools. Pens, pencils, water brushes, small palette knives, and other long/skinny art supplies may fit in the pockets.

Brushes etc. are not included with the brush rolls.

Size

When unfolded, each brush roll is approximately 11 1/8 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall.

When folded into thirds, each brush roll is approximately 3 3/4 inches wide by 10 1/4 inches tall.

Material & Care

The brush rolls are constructed entirely from cotton canvas. Hand wash in cold water with a gentle soap or detergent. Dry flat. When dry, it's safe to use an iron (cotton setting) on the side with the pockets. The ties can also be ironed.

I recommend washing as infrequently as possible-- only if your brush roll gets really dirty. Rinse or clean your brushes before stowing them, but don't worry about light paint stains around the pockets. It just adds to the marbled effect!
